Shops and Bistro

The Shops at Emmaus Village Carlton have an endless variety of goods - books, clothes, furniture and bric-a-brac, all at bargain prices. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask - there is every chance we have it in store or will have it donated shortly.

In our Shop next to the Bistro, we have stalls selling smaller items such as bric-a-brac, books, jewellery and clothes. There are many hours of pleasurable browsing to be had!

We have a FAIRTRADE Stall on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Bistro shop area.

Our Furniture Showroom surprises visitors with its constantly changing displays of excellent quality furniture at bargain prices. First time visitors are amazed by what they can find, whether they are looking to kit out an empty flat, replace a three-piece suite or purchase a special piece of furniture.

All electrical items are checked and provided with a PAT certificate before sale.

Donations to the Shops
To enable us to keep a good stock in the Shops, we need donations of all the things you no longer need. They have to be in good condition and re-saleable - no junk please!

All soft furnishings have to have the non-flammable label on them - we are not allowed by law to sell anything that doesn't. Dining-room suites, wardrobes, dressing tables, beds and so on are all acceptable at our large furniture showroom. Bric-a-brac, books, pictures and smaller items of all kinds are required for our Shops.

Nearly new clothes ONLY, preferably which have been washed and ironed, are gratefully received.

Just a few don'ts - children's safety equipment, cots and prams, anything that uses gas, and dis-assembled flat pack furniture.

If you have any questions or want your larger items collected, please ring .
